Patricia's obituary

Patricia G. Givens, born on March 16th 1949 to the late J.C. Givens and Joleen Blackburn Givens, left this world on December 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia graduated from Gracemont High School in 1967 and made her home in Anadarko, Oklahoma, where she worked at Hollytex Carpet Mills from 1976 until its closing. She lived a life centered on family, friendship, and creativity.

Among her greatest joys in life were her three children: Johnny Christopher Bujanda, Joella Michelle Martinez, and Jennifer Jean Osborne, whom she loved dearly.

Patricia enjoyed crafting dream catchers, quilting, baking sweet treats, going to the hill, and sharing morning coffee and juicy gossip with her best friends Phoebe, Gaynell, and Carlene. She expressed her love through the things she created, through laughter shared with friends, and through the deep devotion she had for her family, especially in her role as a loving Nana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Joleen Blackburn Givens; her sister, Sandra Kay Wright; brother-in-law, Roy Wright; brother, Garry Lynn Givens; son, Johnny Christopher Bujanda; grandson, Darren Anthony Osborne; nephews, David Wright and Jason Wright; and her beloved furry friends, Sammy and Buzz.

She is survived by her daughters, Joella Martinez and husband Joaquin of Anadarko, and Jennifer Osborne and Allen Ataddlety of Anadarko; nine grandchildren: Jared Martinez and wife Kamaree of Binger, Jay C. Ray Kaulay and Thea Lonewolf of Moore, Veronica Craig and husband David of Hinton, Nina Bujanda and Marcus Sanchez of Chickasha, Joaquin Martinez of Yukon, Miriah Ataddlety and Keanan Richardson of Anadarko, Christopher John Vasquez of Anadarko, Kaytlynn Vasquez of Anadarko, and Cristian Martinez of Anadarko; as well as seven great-grandchildren: Channing Haywood, Sophi Sanchez, Charli Sanchez, Khysen Ataddlety, Khyler Richardson, Beckham Martinez, and Ensley Martinez; two sisters: Vanda Givens and Steve of Guthrie, and Thresa Savage and husband David of Gracemont; sister-in-law, Barbara Givens; and nieces Sheila Wright of Chickasha and Mandy Wright of Mustang. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Patricia’s presence bound the family with love and created a home we all returned to. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed, and her legacy will live on through the love she poured into her family.

Per her request, a memorial dinner celebrating her love and life will be held on December 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Activity Building in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Russell-Murray Hospice Caring for Generations or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
