It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia "Patty Bean" Lewis, a woman of indomitable spirit and fervent love, who left us on May 14, 2024. Patricia was born on May 31, 1949, and shone brightly throughout her 74 years, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though some knew her as Patty Bean, she held a preference for Patricia.

Patricia's love, care, devotion, inspiration, and feisty personality were the cornerstones of her being. She believed strongly in the power of dreams and was a living testament to that belief. One of her greatest accomplishments was returning to school and obtaining her high school diploma after 20 years, a feat that showcased her innate determination and resilience.

Patricia leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and happiness that will forever remain engraved in our hearts. Her lessons will continue to inspire, her memories will bring warmth on cold days, and her love will keep us going even in her absence. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to live within us.

Patricia is survived by her beloved daughter, Mary Lewis, who was a source of immense joy and pride to her. Patricia's devotion to her daughter was unwavering, and their bond was a testament to her innate nurturing and love.

A Celebration of Life for Patricia will be held on June  22, 2024  at  2 pm  in Gary. We invite all who knew her and were touched by her kindness, love, and zest for life to join us as we honor her memory and celebrate her extraordinary life.
