Patricia's obituary
In deep mourning, we announce that Patricia Joan Dennis, age 82, has moved on from her physical body to reunite with loved ones who passed before her. Born on September 9th, 1941, Patricia was cherished and admired by all who knew her.
Patricia was compassionate and kindhearted, appreciated for her fierce loyalty and unwavering support for her loved ones and many people who crossed paths with her. An intelligent and creative soul, she was a lifelong learner and avid reader who always sought to expand her horizons. As a Level 3 Certified Reiki Master, she shared her healing energy generously, helping and touching the lives of many.
She is lovingly remembered by her surviving family members: her brother Joseph Ellis; her sons Jeffrey Kashuba, William Dennis, and John Dennis; her daughter Michelle Dennis; her grandchildren Raquel Dennis, Emily Dennis, Jessica Dennis, and Connor Dennis; and many other relatives and loved ones.
Patricia was preceded in death by her son Scott Dennis; her parents Dorothy and Joseph Ellis; her sister Phyllis Monnhemeir; and other beloved family members.
A memorial service will be held at a private residence in the mountains of North Carolina, a place she always loved, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. Those who knew and appreciated her, and are interested in attending her celebration of life, are welcome to RSVP by reaching out to any of her surviving children.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Labre Indian School, The Nature Conservancy, or the Sierra Club Foundation - causes that Patricia felt strongly about and generously supported to help Native Americans and the environment.
Patricia's legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom will forever live on in all who knew her. While we mourn her physical departure, we find comfort in knowing that she is in Heaven with God, that her spirit continues on, and she is always watching over us.
