Patricia Lynn (nee Weisensee) Caprio passed away in the Vitas Hospice Unit at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Carrollton, Texas on Oct 5th 2018 from Emphysema at the age of 65. She was the devoted mother to four sons and a daughter, and gave her best to them, raised them to love things like cinnamon toast with the edges cut off, and encouraged them to play outside. Her children had no wants in their youth, and knew only love. They miss her deeply. The loving children of Patricia are: a. Sean Joseph Mahan, his wife Janet Ana Liza (nee Daza) Mahan, and their children, Helen Patricia Salviejo Mahan (Seattle), and Amelia Jane Daza Mahan of Frisco Texas. b. Jared Joseph Mahan, and his wife Kelley (nee Phennel) Mahan, and their children Nick and TJ Mahan of Frisco Texas. c. Damon Joseph Mahan of Pawtucket, RI. d. Dak Devere Leonard White of Greenville Texas. e. a eldest child, a daughter, who was briefly named Sherrie Weisensee, was given the gift of adoption, and while Patricia never got to know her daughter, she loved her the same through her life and carried her memory and dreamt of her to the end. Her sons intend to reunite with Sherrie.

Patricia was born on July 31, 1953 at Newport Naval Hospital, the spark of her parents eyes, she was a darling daughter. She joins her parents Leonard Weisensee and Elsie Patricia (nee Yuppa) Weisensee of East Providence RI, in eternal peace. Patricia’s father was a Naval Sailor stationed mostly with Security Commands, and this allowed her to see the world at a young age. She lived in Newport and East Providence RI, Subic Bay Philippines, Bremerhaven Germany, and Miami Florida. She grew up with her two amazing brothers: Jack Earl Bryan and his wife Barbara (nee Bright) Bryan, of Twain Harte CA, an older brother who joined the Army as a Ranger during Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart; and a younger brother named Leonard Weisensee and his wife Joanne (nee Tebo) Weisensee, an avid builder and repairman, who stayed near their parents caring for them to their passing.

Patricia met her first husband, Russell Mahan, a butcher in Seekonk RI, and married in Bristol RI on July 4th, 1970, they lived in Bristol, PA for the birth of their three sons. They moved back to Seekonk, MA and divorced in 1983. She married her second Husband Antony Caprio in her parents home in East Providence RI on January 10th, 1987, followed by a third husband Silvester Martinez of Seven Points, TX; and her love in life Donald White continued a part of her life in Arlington, Wilmer and Seven Points Texas until his death in 2012. In her final years she was unmarried, and passed away with the love of her children, three of which lived nearby. Patricia’s career and passion in life was cutting hair, a stylist by trade graduating from Newport School of Hairdressing in 1982, for a time she owned a small hair salon in North Providence, RI, but remained a hair stylist until her illness took hold. She loved to chat, to simply spread the air with laughter, she made friends easily, and she always was there to share her day. Her last six years she was given the blessing of learning an extended family at The Park in Plano, a Nursing Home, where she made many wonderful friends who made a special difference in her life.

Patricia will be missed, remembered, loved, and cherished in our memories, our dreams, and our lives. As directed by her wishes, she was cremated Oct 11th and her funeral will be in the Chapel of St Elizabeth Anne Seton in Plano, Texas on Saturday, November 3rd with short reception on site, and a memorial mass will be held later in Rhode Island so that her family there including her loving Aunte Anne Munroe, can attend.
