Pat Davis Black passed away at home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born September 3, 1942, to the late Earle and Mary Davis of Charlotte, NC. She was married for 29 years to the late Gary R. Black. After living in Florida for about 15 years, they moved back to Charlotte and continued their avid love of UNC football and basketball. Pat continued to be a Rams Club member after Gary’s death and attended games as long as she was able. Pat was a Presbyterian elder and a church was a big part of her life as well. 

Pat was pre-deceased by a sister, Sandra Davis Shanklin in 2023. Survivors besides her son, Gary, of the home, is a sister, Nancy E. Davis, 3 nephews and their families.
