I worked with Patricia at the DE Department of Education (2005-Patricia’s retirement), but before that, I had taken an undergraduate course taught by her (1980s)! Who knew that we would end up colleagues and friends.
I loved Patricia’s witty take on life, her smart brain that she could translate to those of us less smart, her appreciation of the arts and her sense of style with only four colors in her wardrobe, and the way her eyes lit up when she spoke of her beloved Tessa.
I have missed our talks since Patricia retired and will remember her fondly.
Deepest sympathies to Tessa and family.

Simply put, Pat was kind to everyone she met. Her always smiling face was infectious.

Tessa and Charles—I am so sorry for your loss. I loved reading this obituary and seeing how much of Patricia will live on in Tessa. ❤️
