Patricia's obituary

Patricia Michelle Ash, 49, of Hurricane, West Virginia, passed away on April 2, 2025, in Hurricane. Born on October 20, 1975, in Huntington, West Virginia, Michelle brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.

Michelle is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeffrey Blankenship; her daughters Evangeline (Brandon) Watson, Charla (Brandon) Grass, and Emily (Gabriella) Ash; and her cherished granddaughter, Harper Ruth Watson. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Baby Boy and Bella, who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Ruth Thompson; her brother, Joshua Rowe; and her best friend, Marva Stout.

Michelle had a light-hearted spirit that made everyone feel welcome. Her smile could brighten any room, and playful questions often left others laughing until they were breathless. She never left the house until her face was on, and always had the right jewelry to accompany any outfit. She never met a stranger and embraced not only her own children but many others as if they were family.

A proud member of the community, Michelle found joy in volunteering and riding with Legion #139 in Milton, West Virginia. Her generous heart and vibrant energy touched countless lives.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Timothy’s In The Valley, located at 3434 Teays Valley Road in Hurricane. A memorial service will follow from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.

Michelle will be deeply missed by those left behind. Until we meet again.
