Diedre celebrated her 7-year cancerversary of Stage 4 colon cancer on September 10th, 2022 and walked a 3-mile loop around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis with more than 20 of her friends. As she likes to say (opening song of Spamalot), "I'm not dead yet ..." Therefore...

Diedre's Celebration of Life is being held three times and she hopes to be present at all of them! The first was held for her family at their Diederich All-Family Reunion on August 7, 2022, in Bloomington, MN. She was thrilled to be in attendance at this momentous event.

The second Celebration of Diedre's Life is being held for friends and relatives in MN and who live east of the Mississippi River. The date is on Diedre's 73rd birthday. All who know her are invited to come, but space in the church is limited so please respond if you plan to attend and if you will be bringing guests.
Details of the 2nd Celebration include:

Date: September 23, 2022
Time: 4:30 - 8:30 pm
Location: New City Covenant Church, 6400 Tracy Avenue, Edina, MN
Free parking - handicapped access is from the outside only. Indoor access to both levels is via stairs.
Activities:
4:30 - 5:00 pm - Greeting from lobby to Sanctuary
5:00 - 6:30 pm - Program of celebration will be held upstairs in the Sanctuary
6:30 - 8:30 pm - Reception/social with refreshments and music will be held downstairs in the community room

There are no funeral plans at this time. Alexx and Diedre have decided to celebrate Diedre's life with friends and relatives while she is still alive and has an opportunity to say goodbye. Her prognosis from her doctors is limited time is available as no more treatments exist. The colon cancer has now invaded all her critical organs, her spine and has spread from her left clavicle to her esophagus in one direction and her left elbow and arm in the other direction. She continues to live with gratitude to God and a positive attitude. She would like to celebrate her life with her extended family and friends. Diedre would be honored to have you join her at either her MN or AZ celebration.
