Patrice graciously hosted the neighborhood book club, even as she was recovering from foot surgery. I am so happy that we got to laugh with her one last time.

Patrice was my niece.  Her dad was my oldest brother.  One of my fondest memories shared with Patrice was a summer she spent some time with her Grandparent Jones.  She was very fortunate that both sets of grandparents lived in the same town.   We  dressed up in some of her Grandmother Jones old dresses and turned on the water hose outside of her Grandparent Jones house and made the biggest mud puddle.  We would run and slide in that mud puddle and spray each other with the water hose. We had the best time that day and the rest of her stay.  Later as we grew older and had the opportunity to visit we would always talk about that time about how much fun we had and what a mess we made in the yard but her Grandfather Jones never scolded us because we were having fun.  I was very fortunate to have been able to visit with Patrice, Mark, Penny and their families at their Mom’s home in Norman.  It had been awhile since we all had seen each other and yes Patrice and I remembered that day and laughed.  Life and family takes us in different directions as we grow older and leave our home nest and at times we don’t stay in touch as we should.   I will always  cherish that visit this past August and all the texting we did.  I will miss her dearly.

Patrice was such a lovely person that I was blessed to know. Oh how sadden I was to hear the news. She will truly be missed. She was a very caring woman and had such a glowing light about her.  I enjoyed women’s Bible study I had with her and seeing her around the church. Praying for Bruce and their family at this time.
Our deepest condolences to Bruce and to all of Patrice's family. Patrice's face always lit up and her eyes sparkled when she spoke about her grandchildren. We are so sad for your loss. The world has lost a beautiful soul. The world feels so less without her. Love and prayers, Mary & Mike Morris

My heart is sad to hear the news of Patrice's passing. She was such a generous person and a wonderful, compassionate nurse. I worked with her at Gilchrist Hospice and learned so much from her. Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. God bless you one and all.

In His name,

Pat and I shared many afternoons sitting outside on her front porch, or on the lawn chairs in front of my house - right across the street from hers, for many years chatting about everything.  There are so many memories that flood back; how she helped me with funeral arrangements when my parents passed; how she comforted me in a troubled marriage, how she taught me to give a pic line injection when my son got lyme disease...she always wanted to help.  That was her giving nature as a person and a nurse.  Her passing has left an emptiness in my heart, and she is gone too suddenly.  I am comforted to know she is with the Lord, leaving me with a great deal of love for who she was throughout our lives together in both the good times and the hard ones.
Bruce, condolences to you and your family and friends.  We're thinking of you at this difficult time, and wish you peace.
Bruce, Mandy and family, What a shock that Pat has departed Planet Earth!  My heart aches for all of you--especially you, Bruce, since I know very well what it is like to lose one's long-time spouse.  Pat was a wonderful Christian lady who left this World a better place than she found it.  My son, Bryant, was saying how he and Rene always looked up to you and Pat since you were Christians and about a "half-generation" older than they were and they often sought your advice about things.  I've known you pretty much all of your life, but I didn't meet Pat until about 1979 when we began worshipping at Silver Spring Church of Christ with you.  She will be missed by so many!  I picture her in Heaven with Mattew sitting on her lap.  May God be with you, her family, and give you strength and comfort.
From those of us at Harding University Theatre, we wish to send our condolences for your loss. Her kindness and giving spirit will be missed. May God comfort the family in the days ahead.

I remember Pat and Bruce at the Univ of C of C, Norman, OK.  but they were college kids.  Through her parents and Penny I knew about them then when Pat became a grandmother we would comment as we posted pictures of our grandchildren, sharing cute things they did. During that time I felt that I knew her. I cried when Bruce sent the notice Pat had suddenly passed. I cried for Bruce and Mandy, I cried for Ann, her mom, Penny and Mark.  I cried for her grandchildren and all the other people who loved her.   Know she will greatly missed, but I know Bob, her dad and her son Matthew welcomed her with open arms.  All of the people who knew and loved her were truly blessed.

Still hard to accept and believe.    Bruce and Pat have been our friends and neighbors for 33 years.  Our neighborhood is tight knit community ... we look out  for & help each other... so Pat will be surely be missed by the neighborhood   (i.e. Mrs. Claus).    I see her daffodils immerging from their backyard now.   As they bloom this year, I will think fondly of her.   I used to comment on how beautiful they were...especially after a long/gloomy winter.      She responded that she loved looking at them from her kitchen window every spring.    I'm betting that  they will be especially beautiful this year.   Thoughts and prayers to Bruce and Mandy (and the rest of Pat's family).
Patrice and I met at the church of Christ, Laurel, MD. No sure of the first activity we met at, but over the years, we shared our love for working for God's giving us the ability to share hosting programs, events, classes, and wonderful conversations on just about everything. One of her best words to me was "Diane, Breathe, Be Still, Let God....(work on His plan He has for you."_ Yes, Patrice (Pat) I'll keep trying. Love you so very much, always. --di
