Patricia Claire “Dodie” Xavier, passed away peacefully on August 10,

2025, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, at the age of 68.

Born on January 18, 1957, in Pittsfield, Patricia spent her entire life rooted in the community

she loved. She graduated from Taconic High School and went on to earn her licenses in

both Cosmetology and as a Certified Nursing

Assistant (CNA), dedicating herself to caring for others with skill and compassion.

Patricia was a devoted member of St. Charles Church, where she not only worshipped but

also gave generously of her time. She often volunteered to clean the church and shared a

close bond with Father Gregory, reflecting her

deep faith and commitment to service.

Known affectionately as “Dodie,” Patricia brought laughter and light wherever she went. Her

playful spirit and love for pulling pranks made her a joy to be around. Her sense of humor

was matched only by her deep love for her family.

She leaves behind her three children—David LaDouceur(Laura), Sheri LaDouceur (Mike), and Sara LaDouceur—all

of Pittsfield—who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her sisters Michele

and Denise, who shared many cherished memories

throughout their lives together. Patricia’s beloved companion Jonny also mourns her

passing. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Leeah, Austin, Dylan, Lexi, Michael,

Brandon, Arianna, Isabella

She was preceded in death by her father William Hillard, mother Hazel Coty, and sister

Diana Hillard.

Patricia’s warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be deeply

missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those whose lives

she touched.
