Background
Pat Donini spent over a decade at Mason, where she held roles including Director of Employee Relations and AVP for Human Resources. She was known and loved by so many across the Mason Community.
In 2018, Pat's professional life was cut short by a stroke, after which she relocated to Pittsburgh. For 8 years she lived and loved life with family, cherishing time with her two grandchildren.
Pat recently passed away peacefully in the late hours of December 30, 2025.
Colleagues of Pat now wish to carry on Pat's legacy at Mason.
George Mason University offers a Memorial Tree Program for those who wish to contribute to the beauty of our campus by dedicating a tree to be planted in someone’s honor. Managed through the Grounds Program office of Facilities Management, there is a one-time fee of $2,500 to cover all project management, administration, materials needed for the tree planting.
We hope you will help us raise the necessary funds so that Pat's memory can live on at Mason in this very beautiful way. Any funds raised over the $2,500 cost for the memorial tree will be donated to the general scholarship fund at George Mason in Pat’s memory. If you wish to donate to directly to George Mason in Pat’s memory, you may do so at give.gmu.edu. We plan to present her family with information about Pat's Memorial Tree at her Celebration of Life on April 25, 2026 in Bristol, CT. Contribute
