It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paola Leva (née Onorati). Surrounded by the strength and love of her family, Paola passed away at the age of 91 on January 11, 2025.

Born in Boville-Ernica, Italy, and then immigrating to Canada with her family in 1962, Paola built a life filled with love, dedication and incredible strength.

Paola is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Patrizia (Paolo), her son Paolo (Hanieh), her grandchildren Luisa (Peter), Gianna, Max and Maia, her great-grandchildren Madison, Lucy and their sister Daniela. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her devoted husband Luigi, and her cherished children Gianfranco and Mimmina.

Paola found immense fulfillment in nurturing and loving her family. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind and gentle soul, whose love for family and friends never wavered. Her smile would light up any room, and her warmth, laughter and infectious spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. If you knew Paola, you loved her. Her perseverance and strength were a source of inspiration to all, and she made those around her feel cherished and cared for. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her.

May Paola be surrounded by her heavenly family and friends, and may she smile down upon us from above.

Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd.) on Wednesday January 15, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday January 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Vescio Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. A lunch will be held after the service for family and friends to gather in her memory.
