Pam's obituary

Pamela Susan Vinson, 61, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, born on August 11, 1962, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to her family, her career, and the many passions that brought joy to her life.

Pamela married the love of her life, James David Vinson, on December 5, 1981. Their union, filled with love and companionship, was tragically cut short when James passed away of cancer on December 28, 1985. Despite the challenges she faced, Pamela's strength and resilience shone through as she continued to nurture and support her children and family.

Professionally, Pamela dedicated her career to serving others as an emergency services dispatcher. Her role was not just a job, but a calling, as she found great fulfillment in helping people in their times of need. Her unwavering dedication to her work and the community she served was admirable and inspiring. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, her exclamations of "HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!" echoed through our homes, and Hershey’s number one customer always asking, "Did you remember my Hershey's?". However, nothing matched the love she held for her children, grandchildren, and family, a bond that was both deep and eternal.

Pamela leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, remembered by her son, James Daniel Vinson and his wife Margo Vinson; her daughter, Comella Vinson, and her fiancé Jimmy Baliguat. Her grandchildren, Khaig Snow and his wife Shiean Snow, Khirey Leisch and her husband Tyler Leisch, Shaylen Vinson, Chastin Vinson, and Alissa Seals, and her adored great-granddaughter, Luna Snow.

She is also survived by her brother, Philip Bacon, his wife Amy Bacon, and their children Philip Bacon II, Bracy Bacon, Eddie Hagins, Kenneth Hagins, Tony Hagins, and Paula Bacon; her brother, Lee Bacon, his wife Brenda Bacon, and their children Mike Bacon, Billy Bacon, Tiffany Daniels, Brandie Martinez, and Jayme Bacon. Additionally, she is remembered by her nieces and nephews Denise Brunes, Travis Bacon, and Robert Bacon, children of her late brother Eddie Bacon and his wife Linda Bacon, Ashley McDonald, Laura Shaw, Evan Red, children of her late sister Denise Red, and Brent Bacon, Suzanna Manor, and Colby Wilson, children of her late sister Ann Bacon.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Edmund and Betty Bacon; her husband, James David Vinson; her grandchild, Braxton Vinson; and her siblings, Eddie Bacon, Denise Red, and Ann Bacon.

Her life, a beautiful tapestry of dedication, love, and kindness, will be forever remembered and cherished by all who knew her. Pamela's legacy of compassion, commitment to helping others, and love for her family will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.

She was our mother, our champion, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt. She was a dispatcher, a hero, a friend. To us she was everything and will forever be missed but we know she’s resting peacefully now, holding tightly to her husband she missed for so long, reunited with her family, and smiling as she hears Braxton’s laugh again. So, for now it’s goodbye. We’ll miss you dearly but will see you again soon.

We love you Mom!
