Pamela's obituary
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Pamela McAllister (Spanier), who departed this life on December 29th, 2024. Born January 8, 1946, Pamela lived a fulfilling and impactful life full of love, kindness, and service.
Pamela is survived by her cherished family, including her loving children, daughter Julie McAllister and sons Bobby (Daphne) McAllister and Kyle (Sherri) McAllister. Her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved and cherished, MacKenzie (Jesse) Debozy, Stephanie Brown, Thayne McAllister, Brecka (Adam) Katzenmeier, Jordan McAllister, Payton McAllister, Chelsey (Troy) Neitzel, Arianna McAllister, and Brandon Miller along with all 9 of her great grandchildren: Christopher, Braylon, Cheyenne, Daicen, Brooklyn, Annikka, JanaeLynn, Roseanna, and Luxtynn will continue to keep her spirit alive through their stories and memories.
Pamela was predeceased by her loving parents, Elma Spanier (Stultz) and Edward Spanier, her devoted husband, Elton McAllister, her brother Bob Spanier, and her dear sister and best friend, Evelyn Haflich (Spanier).
A proud graduate of Hutchinson High School, KS in 1964, she later married the love of her life, Elton McAllister, in the same year. She was a selfless woman and a dedicated volunteer at the voter polling monitor, an active attendee at Heart of Kansas Quilt Guild, an avid bowler on her team in Hutchinson, and a score keeper at Fun Valley Sports Complex for many years.
Her love for Buddy Holly's music, the Kansas City Chiefs, card and puzzle games, and her passion for reading were well known among her friends and family. An avid lover of outdoor activities, Pamela's favorite pastimes included sewing, painting, and watching soap operas. She also cherished spending time in Colorado, her favorite vacation spot.
Pamela will always be remembered for her warm, compassionate, and understanding nature and as someone who was one-of-a-kind. Generous with her knowledge, Pamela imparted lessons of patience, sewing, painting, reading, and yardwork. Her legacy as an angel on Earth will forever be a testament of who everyone should strive to be. Her endearing smile, infectious laughter, comforting hugs, and overall presence will be greatly missed.
May her soul rest in peace and her memory live on in our hearts and minds forever.
