Pamela's obituary
With profound sadness, we acknowledge the passing of Pamela Horner (Harris), who left us on March 16, 2024. Born on August 26, 1958, Pamela, known fondly as Pammy to some, made her mark in this world with her larger-than-life personality and a giving heart.
Pamela is survived by her children, Katie Hobley and Tom Horner, and fondly remembered by her son-in-law, Alex Hobley. They were her pride and joy, her greatest accomplishments. Her heartwarming legacy lives on through her grandchildren – Isabella, Olivia, and Angelica Norton, along with Eliott and Evie Hobley. Her love also extended to her dear sister, Kelly Gardner, her sister-in-law, Laura White, and her nieces and nephews - Kenzie and Jordan Ford, as well as Carla, Rachel, and David White. She also leaves behind her crazy ginger cat, Leo and we know in our hearts and souls that she has reconnected in heaven with Maxy and all the pets she had previously.
Known for her wit and humour, Pam was always the life of the party. She was loving, caring, endlessly fun, and unafraid to stir things up a bit. Her adventurous spirit led her to enjoy many recreational activities, such as swimming, road tripping, and soaking up the fun and laughter wherever her adventures took her. Her favourite travel spots were England, Australia, The Bahamas, Florida, and Mexico. Closer to home, she found tranquility and joy around The Lakes, a place where she loved to spend her time in and on the water.
Her bold love for the colour blue mirrored her large personality, while her advice to "Not take any shit!" spoke to her resilience and tenacity. She celebrated her life with a contagious laugh and shared it generously with her friends and the family she dearly loved. Her presence and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed, yet her impact will continue to inspire and guide us forever.
As we bid farewell to Pam, we remember an extraordinary woman who lived life on her own terms, loved unabashedly, and left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her spirited laughter, infectious fun, and adventure-loving soul will live on in the hearts of all those who were privileged to know her.
We would also like to give a massive thank you to everyone that helped us along this journey. A special thank you to Meaford Hospital, the Oncology Clinic at Owen Sound Hospital and Chapman’s House of Owen Sound. In honour of Pam, please support and donate to any of these organizations.
