Pam's obituary

Pamela Thames Hinton passed peacefully Saturday, September 20, 2025. Born on October 31, 1955 in Jackson, Mississippi, Pam was the youngest of three children born to the late Charles and Juanita (Ezell) Thames.

Pam lived a life defined by faith, joy, and love for family and community. For fourteen years, she served the people of Jackson at Jackson Heart Clinic before she and her family moved to pursue business ownership in their second home and favorite family vacation destination, Gulf Breeze, Florida. After a successful career in Florida, the family returned home to retire, rest, and raise grandchildren, Pam’s greatest joy.

In addition to grandchildren, Pam was passionate about nature, and thus, gardening and cooking, which she instilled into her children. In retirement, she was able to share those passions with her grandchildren. She was known for her love of morning coffee, especially on her porch in the company of loved ones, where she shared her knowledge of nature and cooking.

In her later years, Pam found her greatest passion in life, her great-grandchildren, with whom she spent every possible moment. Her energy knew no bounds when she was with them, and she shared everything she held dear with them.

While she is known and cared most for the simpler things in life, she is fondly and lovingly remembered for her fun-loving spirit. She loved to get dressed up to go out into the world to enjoy life with her family and friends. She enjoyed food from around the world, music from all ages and genres, and people from all walks-of-life.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Michael (Ann); husband, Roger Dale Hinton; and daughter, Kellie Renea.

She is survived by her sister, Janet Ann Bailey; son, Joseph Bradley; and grandchildren, Christopher Tyler Williamson (wife Meagan and daughter Winter), Taylor Blake Hinton, Megan Rae Hinton (daughter Kori), and Kenneth Parker Hinton (daughter Audrey and son Kreed); and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

A private celebration of Pam’s life will be held by family at a future date.
