Pamela Jane (Duffin) Frey, 76, of Rockford, died peacefully September 16, 2022 at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, Florida.

Pam was the beloved wife of William (Bill) Frey; the adored mother of William (Ted) Frey with his wife Kim and the devoted grandmother of Jacob Frey and Tyler Carow. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Albert Duffin, of Riverside, California.

Pam was born June 6, 1946 in Hamilton, Canada, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen when she was 18. Pam met her husband Bill while living in California and was married in 1973. Her son Ted was born the following year shortly before the family relocated to Illinois.

Pam loved creating art in various forms. She was an accomplished stained glass creator and made many beautiful sculptures and paintings. In her younger years Pam kept and rode horses on the trail as well as in the arena. Pam was an active member of the Rockford Lions club where she participated in numerous fundraisers in efforts to help the disabled. She was an incredibly caring person with a beautiful heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Pamela leaves us behind with beautiful memories and will be missed deeply.
