It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Palmira 'Taty' Pérez Vázquez de Mora of Orlando, FL, on 14 May 2024. Taty leaves behind her husband Manuel, her son Manuel, her brother Victor, her sister Sara, and a community of friends and relatives touched by her.
Born on June 14, 1941, in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, Taty's vibrant spirit and profound intelligence propelled her to achieve a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Universitat de Barcelona. She dedicated several years to nurturing minds at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in San Germán, where her passion for psychology and education left an indelible mark on her students.
Taty's retirement was as fulfilling as her career, characterized by over two decades of involvement with the Orlando International Folk Dance Club, where her joy for dance and culture thrived. A compassionate soul, she was also an avid animal lover, dedicating her time and resources to caring for numerous rescue cats, embodying her ever-generous spirit.
