Pablo's obituary
Pablo Casillas Moran (January 15, 1931 to December 4, 2022) spent the first 17 years of his life in his beloved island of Puerto Rico. He would later return and build a home in Las Piedras, in 1976, where he created an estate raising many fruits, flowers and plenty of coconuts. How he loved his home!
In his early adult years he found his life productive in Plumsteadville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania where, working at Mrs Paul’s and Penn Engineering, he bought a home with his dearly beloved Rosa and birthed eight children; in order of birth, Evelyn, Paul, John, Cleto, Esther and Maria, Juanita and Peter. He was predeceased by his daughter, Evelyn (March 31, 1958 - October 8, 2008), and his wife, Rosa (August 29, 1942 - September 24, 2009). His home was the wonder of the community for its beauty of flowers and trees and his children loved him dearly.
In his last few years, Dad moved to Georgia, where he lived with his daughter Juanita and her husband Ossie. He found here a very warm and welcoming home where his daughter and her husband cared for him and his children cherished visits, watching and caring for him.
Dad’s life was marked with simplicity and joy. He became a deacon at Las Piedras Seventh-day Adventist Church and carried his discipline into operating the church with others. Dad found in Jesus a warm, joyful and trusted Friend and carried him in his heart as he was guided by his wife, Rosa, his spiritual anchor, joy and comfort.
Dad rests. At the good age of 91, almost 92, his toil is ended. He has responded to the call from his Lord and his children are gathered around him. His soul is anchored in the peace that passes all understanding. Good bye dearest father. We love you and will see you soon when our blessed Lord parts the sky to welcome all of His children.
