PABLITA's obituary
Pablita Serna was born on November 19, 1956, in Denver, CO and passed away on January 12, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. She is currently in the care of Atencio Family Funeral Home. Service and Viewing will be held on February 12 from 1-2 PM, with the service to follow at New Hope Ministries, 875 S Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Fides Serna & Eluid Ruffino Serna, her sibling Floyd Serna, her grandson Gary “Little Gary” Reynolds Aubel III, as well as her great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her children Pamela Lucero & Daniel Serna; her brothers Charles Serna, Dale Serna, Patrick Serna; her sisters Mary Archuleta, Doris Bonner, Elaine King; as well as nieces, nephews, and countless other extended family members and friends.
Pablita “Paula” was a person always happy about life. She had a good spirit, a kind soul, and boundless energy, always making sure to live life to the fullest. She took great pride in keeping her car gassed up, nice, and clean. She had a love for McDonald’s and Chubby’s Mexican hamburgers, smothered burritos, and chili cheese fries. Her favorite team was the Denver Broncos, and she found so much joy in watching their games.
She had a passion for her hair, skin, and nails, never settling for anything less than the best. She was known for always making sure her beauty routine was top-notch, sparing no expense. She also had a unique charm when it came to spending time on the phone—she knew how to keep those bill collectors away! She was truly one of a kind, full of grace and an immense love for her children.
Known for her caring and beautiful demeanor, Pablita had a heart of gold. She always made sure her children were well taken care of. She loved to cook, bake bread, and shop. She was a blessing to all who knew her, and her beautiful soul and spirit will always be remembered.
