He was a beloved husband to Bettie Kemp and a dearly loved father to their children, Sandy, Deante, and Otto Kemp. Otto's love for his family demonstrated his capacity for deep affection and selfless care, his children being one of his greatest accomplishments and the cause he cared about most. He is also survived by his sister, Kara Dotson. Otto was predeceased by his parents, Mattie Ward and Otto Kemp senior, whose memories he cherished dearly.
In 1972, Otto graduated from Carrol High School in Monroe, LA, where he laid the foundation of a life characterized by vibrant experiences and meaningful relationships. Otto carried a lifelong love for catfish and gumbo, a love reflective of his roots and his appreciation of life's simple pleasures.
Off the dining table, Otto was an avid sports fan with particular affinity towards basketball and football. He found joy and camaraderie in cheering on his favorite teams.
In the lessons Otto shared, "To love everyone," stands as testament to his wisdom. His wit, intelligence, and infectious humor made him an excellent company wherever he went.
