Oskar's obituary

Oskar Schindler,66, of Austria, passed away on October 9,1974.
Oskar Schindler was born into a wealthy family and before the holocaust was a prolific drinker
At first he used to hide Jews for money then later gave them refugee regardless
He saved approximately 1,200 Jews in total
He first joined the Nazi party in order to capitalize on the war
Schindler hid Jews in the Krakow Enamel Factory he owned, in Poland. Since the factory he owned was "essential" to the war, he would make excuses that the Jews were needed for labour purposes.
