O.R.'s obituary

Our beloved and devoted Husband, Dad, Grandfather, and Friend, Mr. Orren Ray “O. R.” Lee, of Pearland, TX entered eternal life on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the age of 83. O. R. was born on January 10,1941 in Lufkin, TX to Leonard and Della Lee. He is survived by his wife Brenda; children Angela Limb (husband Andrew) and James Lee; grandchildren Austin and Amelia; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Robert Lee, Henry Lee, C. E. “Buddy” Lee, and B. A. Lee.

O. R. served in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers; after the Army he worked as a carpenter and later as a switchman for the Port Terminal Railroad. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, teaching his son all about wood working, and was a proud papa to his grandchildren.

One of his greatest legacies was his dedication and involvement in Freemasonry. O. R. was a 50-year Freemason with a 33rd Degree in the Houston Scottish Rite. He was Past Master of Park Place Lodge #1172, Lone Star Lodge #660, and San Andres Lodge #170. He was also a member of C. F. Spencer Lodge #1384, A.F. & A.M. He was committed to freemasonry and spent many years educating others in masonry. He served on many committees and in the kitchens at various lodges, including the Houston Scottish Rite, where he made sure everyone stayed busy.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17th at Park Place Masonic Lodge No. 1172 located at 6820 Tipperary Ln. Houston, TX 77061.
