Orlando's obituary
Orlando Ribeiro, age 63, of Clermont, FL, went to be with the Lord on Friday May 26, 2023, in the mountains of North Carolina, doing one of the things he enjoyed the most, riding his motorcycle.
Orlando Ribeiro was born on October 26,1959, to Joseph and Mecia Ribeiro in Madeira, Portugal. Orlando suffered the lose of his father at the age of 5. Eventually the family immigrated to Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1973.
In 1980, Orlando met the love of his life: Marina. Orlando was a devoted husband of 42 years as well as a loving father to his two daughters, Francesca and Nicole.
Nothing made Orlando happier than being surrounded by his family.
Orlando was a hardworking man who put the Lord first in everything he did. He worked hard to provide and take care of his family. Orlando took pride in everything he did, no matter how small the task. Orlando served the Lord in many ways, including participating in the media ministry at Faith Assembly of God Church, where he enjoyed his time directing and operating the cameras.
Orlando’s big heart and humility was evident to all he came in contact with. He would give someone the shirt off his back, no questions asked. Orlando loved to be a goofball, always putting smiles on people’s faces or giving a good laugh.
When not working, Orlando enjoyed his time being on his Harley. He made many cherished memories riding with his family and friends.
Orlando was also involved in a motorcycle ministry where he combined his passion to ride with the ability to share the love of the Lord with other bikers.
In 2021 Orlando gained the son he always wanted in his future son-in-law, David Hall. Orlando and Dave bonded over many weekend rides where they discussed their plans for the future which included buying land in the mountains of North Carolina where they both planned to retire to.
Orlando is survived by his spouse, Marina; his daughter’s Francesca Lackey; Nicole Ribeiro; grandchildren, Zoey and Jewels Lackey; sister Maria Perveiler; mother Mecia Jardim; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends that he cherished.
Loving husband, father, servant to the Lord, and friend
