Omkolsoum's obituary

Oma passed away on Mar 3, 2020 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.  She was born in Khoy, Iran to parents, Mohammad and Hajar. She was happily married to Mohsen Davarpanah in Khoy, Iran and started a family there before relocating many years later with her family to Canada.

Oma is survived by her 6 children Victoria, Alireza, Nasrin, Mohi, Romina and Nouchine. Her grandchildren Aiden, Negar, Amir, Afshin, Isabella and Benjamin. Her great grandchildren, Cameron and Sky.

She was predeceased by her loving husband in 2002.  Oma  was a woman of strength, both physically and mentally. Above everything she loved her family. Her openness in embracing a new country and language helped her family in starting a new life.

She was always baking and cooking up a storm in the kitchen and she never wasted an opportunity to have the whole family together around the dinner table. Whether it was picking grape leaves for dolmeh or baking baklava for Nowruz she was always doing something for her children. She will be dearly missed by us all.
