Omeed Thomas Ighani, age 45, of Estero, FL (previously Glastonbury, CT), passed away peacefully with family by his side after a valiant & courageous battle with cancer. 

Omeed was born to the late Farideh (Rahmati) and Monir Ighani in Danbury, CT on May 18, 1977. After Omeed graduated from South Windsor High School, he went on to study Business Management at Charter Oak State College. 

Omeed was employed by AAA Insurance, where he was a top producer. He took great pride in his work, and was a friend to many coworkers and clients.

Omeed had many interests in sports, namely the New York Yankees, Giants, and Knicks. Omeed was also talented in the sport of Fantasy Football, in which he was very proud of his championship titles.

But above all, Omeed loved his family. Omeed married his loving wife Michelle in 2014 and enjoyed years of traveling, restaurants, and laughing together. His greatest joy in life were his two sons, Aiden (4) and Oliver (2). Although his time with them was cut much too soon, they will know how much their Daddy loved them all the days of their lives. 

Omeed was predeceased by his mother, Farideh Rahmati Ighani, and uncle Ali Rahmati. In addition to Michelle, Aiden, and Oliver, Omeed is survived by father Monir Ighani, his special aunt and uncle, Nasarin Rahmati and Iraj Rahmati, and close cousins, Sadaff, Sheereen, Noor, and Maya, along with many other family members, in-laws, and friends who loved him so. His lap will also be missed by his dogs, Jeter and Mattingly.

Services will be held privately. Omeed’s wishes were to ensure the well being of his family and educational opportunities for his children.
