Oliva's obituary

En memoria de nuestra amada madre, Maria Oliva Montoya De Correa, quien falleció el 05 de noviembre de 2022. Fue la devota esposa de José Gildardo Correa y madre amorosa de Ángela María, Juan Carlos, Claudia María y Sol Beatriz. Nuestra familia no estaría donde está hoy si no la tuviéramos como madre.

Oliva nació el 12 de junio de 1933 en Andes, Colombia, de sus padres, Juan Cancio y María Emilia. Después de graduarse de la escuela secundaria, pasó a seguir una carrera de maestra. En Andes conoció a su esposo y se casó el 8 de febrero de 1958 luego pasó a ser madre de 4 hijos, 10 nietos y 13 bisnietos.

Ser madre fue una de las partes más importantes de su vida, un papel que le dio mucho orgullo y alegría. Ella era una excelente madre, comprensiva, amable e ingeniosa y todos la extrañaremos mucho. Ella será profundamente extrañada por todos los que la conocieron.

Oliva falleció despues que sus hermanos José, Bernardo y Augusto.

Deja atrás a su esposo José Gildardo, a sus hermanos Román y Humberto; sus hijos Ángela María, Juan Carlos, Claudia María, Sol Beatriz; sus nietos (Angela) María Teresa, Isabel Cristina, Daniel Jerónimo, (Juan Carlos) Gian Carlo, Jean Marcel, (Claudia) Deborah, Alexandra, (Sol) Orlando, Claribel, Andrea; y sus bisnietos (Maria) Alex, Verónica, Timothy, (Isabel) Karina, Kristian, (Deborah) David, Marisol, (Orlando) Amy, (Claribel) Natalia, Diego, Christopher, (Andrea) Jeansy, Kyle.

In loving memory of our mother, Maria Oliva Montoya De Correa, who passed away on November 05, 2022. She was the devoted wife of Jose Gildardo Correa and loving mother of Angela Maria, Juan Carlos, Claudia Maria, and Sol Beatriz.  Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have her as a mother.

Oliva was born on June 12, 1933 to two loving parents, Juan Cancio and Maria Emilia in Andes, Colombia. After graduating from high school, she went on to purse a teaching career. She later met her husband and went on to have 4 children, 10 grandkids, and 13 great-grandkids. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of her life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was an excellent mom, supportive, kind, and witty and we will all miss her dearly. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Oliva was predeceased by her brothers Jose, Bernardo, and Augusto.

She leaves behind her husband Jose Gildardo, her brothers Roman and Humberto; her children Angela Maria, Juan Carlos, Claudia Maria, Sol Beatriz; her grandkids (Angela) Maria Teresa, Isabel Cristina, Daniel Jeronimo, (Juan Carlos) Gian Carlo, Jean Marcel, (Claudia) Deborah, Alejandra, (Sol) Orlando, Claribel, Andrea; and her great-grandkids (Maria) Alex, Veronica, Timothy, (Isabel) Karina, Kristian, (Deborah) David, Marisol, (Orlando) Amy, (Claribel) Natalia, Diego, Christopher, (Andrea) Jeansy, Kyle
