Olga's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olga Whitcomb-Brandon, whose radiant life was brought to an end on January 18, 2025. Born on July 15, 1989, Olga lived a full life defined by love, resilience, and an infectious spirit of joy.
Olga will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her brothers, Kevin and Christopher Bubba Whitcomb, her sister, Lili Goosey, and her adoring husband, Sven Forrest Brandon. Olga and Sven were wed in 2013 and made their home in the charming town of Yellow Springs, OH since 2010.
Known for her outgoing personality, Olga found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a true appreciation for crockpot meals and found comfort in the sip of water. Ever an enthusiast of art and culture, her favorite book was 'Perfect Fifths', and her music collection was incomplete without Taylor Swift's melodious tracks. Survivor, Big Brother, Sutis, New Girl were among her favorite TV Shows and the magic of Disney movies held a special place in her heart.
Olga also nurtured an artistic soul with a deep admiration for Georgia O'Keefe. She was a loyal fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed friendly games of Skip-bo, Rummy, Clue, and Risk. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for hiking, which also served as her preferred form of exercise. The serenity of Red River, NM was her favorite vacation spot.
A woman of strong values, Olga's causes of importance were centered around family. Lavender was her favorite color, reflecting her gentle yet vibrant personality. She imparted wisdom through her lessons of loving one another, embodying these teachings in her own life. Among her many accomplishments was her invaluable contribution to cancer research.
Olga leaves behind a legacy that encourages us to never give up. Her life was a testament to her strength and resilience, serving as an inspiration to all who knew her. Through her spirit and fond memories, Olga Whitcomb-Brandon will continue to live on in our hearts.
