Olga's obituary

Olga Margarita Figueroa, daughter of Eduardo Figueroa and Olga (Medina) Romero, was born November 3, 1965, at the Centro Medico in Rio Piedras. The family then moved to Chicago, Illinois where Olga attended Von Humboldt Elementary School and Kelvyn Park High School.

Olga was blessed with three children: Lourdes, Linda, and Emanuel. She was able to be a stay-at-home mom for several years, but also took a job as a security guard at the elementary school where her children attended so she could be close to them.

After moving to Missouri in 2010, Olga attended Monte De Oración (Mountain of Prayer) Church, a Christian Pentecostal church.

Olga took great pride in helping to provide for her children and worked at EDP Enterprises on Fort Leonard Wood for over ten years before moving on to be a home health care provider until late 2023.

During her life she also helped raise two of her munchkins (grandkids), Destiny and Nathan. In her spare time, Olga enjoyed baking and cooking (especially for her family), being outdoors while gardening, fishing, camping, and swimming. She passed that love of the outdoors on to her grandson Nathan, whom she taught to swim and fish. Olga loved spending time with her best friend Birdie sight-seeing around the beautiful state of Missouri and traveling with her sister Olga. The one thing that brought her a lot of joy was being able to travel to Chicago to see her children and grandchildren that lived in the city. Olga passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in her home in Gerald, Missouri having attained the age of 58 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her.

Olga leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Lourdes M. Quinones, Linda Maria Quinones, and Emanuel B. Muluh; mother: Olga Romero; siblings: Olga Vazquez, Ruth Figueroa, Joel Figueroa, Dalilah Figueroa, and Maria Figueroa; grandchildren: Destiny Quinones, Chanel Hayes, Kenneth Freeman, Jr., Armani Smith, and Nathan Muluh.

Olga was preceded in death by her father: Eduardo Figueroa, Sr. in 2021, and her brother: Eduardo Figueroa, Jr. in 1996.

Even though she is gone from our sight, Olga’s love of adventure and for her family will live on in our hearts forever.
