My dad was taken in for a procedure to fix his aorta aneurism. All tho the risk were there just like with any other procedures his went very well according to the surgeon who was very pleased with the results and we were supposed to go home the next day but only few hours post op my dad took a turn for the worse. He was complaining of stomach pain and loss of sensation in both of his legs and his left arm. In less than 24 hours after the surgery everything in his abdomen was necrotic (prior to surgery no medical history of any colon or kidney disease). There was no saving of any of his intestines as all of it was dead by the time they cut into him to investigate what was the pain caused by. The EVAR procedure was done on Thursday 10/2 he was supposed to be discharged on 10/3 and instead we were told he’d only have one day to live. My dad took his last breath on 10/4 at 6PM.

My father’s death was unexpected for us as well as the medical team that cared for him pre/post op , and we don't have the funds we need to pay for his funeral. Anything donated will be used to offset funeral costs. Any donations beyond our goal will be used to purchase the headstone. Thank you so much to everyone in advance for your support. Contribute
