Odely Joseph went home to Jesus on October 20, 2022 at age 51.

Odely was born to Elouange and Presilia Joseph on May 25, 1971 in Haiti.

As a child, he enjoyed and became very good at soccer. As a young man, he dearly loved his family and friends and often  showed that love by cooking. He would come home from work and go straight to the kitchen! You could always count on him to tell you a good joke, to make you laugh.

Building Maintenance Technician, Tree Service Specialist, and Safety Flagman at Port Everglades were among the different jobs he had over his life. He was skilled at many things and was always known as a hard and diligent worker by his employers. His was most notably known as a barber. He cut the family's hair, his friend's hair for special occasions, and even elderly ones. He wanted to make sure everyone looked their best, and he was exceptional at this skill. Let's not forget, his cut was always sharp as well.

In 2007, Odely became a father to a beautiful girl named, Gabrielle Joseph, who enjoyed shopping with her dad. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, they would do laundry and cook together. He always made sure her hair was beautiful as she is,  and would take her to the beauty salon.

Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. 

Odely joins Elouange Joseph, his father, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his mother, Presilia Ductan-Joseph; daughter, Gabrielle Joseph; Siblings: Guy Perault Joseph, Chilla Joseph, Marc-Donald, Marc-Adel Joseph, Jherry Joseph, and Alain Joseph; Nieces and Nephews: Beothie Joseph, Guy-Aslyne Joseph, Wolph Joseph, Guy-Alessandro Joseph, Renaldo J. Fertil, Leah C. Fertil, and Alessandra Joseph; sister-in-laws Rosana Michel Joseph, Mona Dorvilas Joseph; and countless cousins, aunties, and uncles. 

Families: Joseph, Ductan, Thermidor, Fleurinord, Noel, Dugard, Sainvil, Metayer, Beausejour, Tienna, Belizaire, Fertil, Inquietude, Paul, Brutus, Fils-aime, and many friends.
