Norman's obituary

Norman Schneider, 77, of Greenville, TX passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Norman grew up in Toledo Ohio. He served the United States Army for 20 years. During service to our country Norman fought in the Vietnam War receiving three Purple Hearts. He spent the majority of his military career as a helicopter and aircraft repairer. After an honorable discharge he continued his career in the aircraft industry.  He built and repaired aircrafts for people like John Travolta and John Goodman at Love Field. He also spent several years at E-Systems and later retired from Lockheed Martin in 2010.

Norman enjoyed life and loved his family. Family was his top priority. He was so often the light in the room, with a big smile and finding someway to be silly.

His favorite way to spend his time was anywhere near the water. He could often be found with neighbors by the pool, playing volleyball. At the lake camping, boating and enjoying a good fish fry. If he wasn't by the water, He was probably watching the Dallas Cowboys play!

Norman will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Norman was predeceased in death by his Mother Thelma and Father Richard Schneider. Great-granddaughter Kya Parsley . He is survived by his wife Janie Schneider. Siblings Debora Hall, Brenda Sova and Ron Schneider. Daughters Kandice Black and Yvonne Gill. Sons Charles and Christopher Schneider.  Granddaughters,  Monica Parsley, Devon Oliveri, Kimberly Campbell, Casey Hudson,  Addison Guilbeaux and Lilah Schneider. Grandsons Brach Black, Micah Schneider and Christopher H. Schneider. Great Grandchildren Stella Moon Parsley, Rylan Hudson and his baby brother on the way.

Norman requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Norman’s loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at Top Rail Cowboy Church 262 Horseman’s Rd, Greenville, TX  on April 5th at 11:30am.
