Rock use to live in Bay City, Tx and then he bought a home in Wadsworth, Tx where he lived down the road from me. We were the best of friends while he lived in Bay City and then Wadsworth, and then he moved to Ingleside, and we remained friends and I would go up to see him. We were very close, and I lost touch with him when he got married, I guess the first time and the girl had problems and she didn’t like me much but that’s OK. I know people lose touch with each other and Ron knew I loved him no matter what. Someone else said that he would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it, he had a little Pontiac Fiero  that I was in love with so for Christmas I put four new tires on it and a big yellow bow on top because he was having problems at the time and he was so excited he couldn’t believe it but he always did things for me. I pulled up in my driveway at the form one day  and Wadsworth and that Car was sitting in my driveway on a trailer and had a few problems with it and he couldn’t afford to fix it but he had another car and he knew I loved that one and that I would fix it and he gave it to me. I have done nothing but crying since I found out that he passed away, and if he was your friend like he was my friend you had a damn good friend at your side. Much love to you, Ron.

Remembering Norman is an easy thing to do. He was in my Class of 1973. We talked alot in school. And in our younger days i would go to pick strawberrys at his parents farm. They were really good! My sympathy to his family. I know you will miss him. He was such a great and kind person!! So sad to hear this news.B

I am so sorry to hear about Rock .He was such a true friend to everyone he met. His heart was indeed as big as Texas.

I met Rock in 1997 I believe. I was working in personnel for Harmony in Corpus Christi Tx.  He was a Millwright looking for work … lol , actually he really wasn’t looking , Rock never had to look ! He had and has a huge family of construction workers who would give the shirt off their back for Rock ! And of course Rock was always giving the shirt off his back for them. I remember the first time I saw them offloading his tool box … he had the words “ Box of Rocks” across the front of them . It literally took a cherry picker to move them ! Oh how I can hear his voice right now . He was one hell of a good man. He worked for Harmony many times but I believe his true love was offshore drilling rigs . Rock and I became very close friends. He had the biggest and strongest shoulders I’ve ever known. He always encouraged me to reach for the stars . And if or in my case when I stumbled or fell … to not give up . And true to his nature he was always offering me a hand up . I could never repay all the loving kindness this dear man always showed me. I loved Rock very much. My memories of him will never leave me. There was something very special about him. He deserved the best of life… he really did. He never asked anything from anybody. My heart is filled with sorrow.

My sincerest condolences to his daughter Christine. And to all of his MANY friends and family….

I pray his soul drifts with the winds… and he can see into the hearts of all those who love him .

My heart goes out to all who loved him, Rock was a true inspiration and possessed the greatest heart I've ever known. I don't think he ever met a stranger, or hesitated to lend a helping hand if he could. 13 years knowing him has passed quickly, but I always smile when I think of him. The world is just a bit dimmer without him here. I will miss him more than words can ever express.

We remember Norman.. He was such a personality.

He plowed the road from your house to ours in Fowler with an earth mover( at least once) and your mom was in disbelief! Truly one of a kind. Good guy all around..We Surely know you will miss your brother..

Good memories of all your family and life with people who enjoyed it all.. Square dancing at Pierpont and (Veegas) (sp?)your horse, Gary.

Strawberry planting, picking  and more.. Truly sorry for your loss.. the Bob Cramer’s…Jean, Kathy, Carol and Bobbi
