Norman's obituary

Mr. Norman Dale Miller was born May 11, 1962 in Aliceville Alabama to Mamie Lee Harris and the late John Wesley Harris II. He attended grade school in the Pickens County School District. He graduated from Aliceville High School in Aliceville, Alabama in 1981. In June of 1981 he went into the United States Army, he served 3 years as an astute soldier. After serving his country, he went to work as a civilian. He attended Tristate Technical Institute in Erie Pennsylvania.

Full of charm his personality was magnetic, he never met a stranger. He was a great conversationalist, he loved sports and the outdoors. Norman married Antoinette M. Johnson in April of 1983 and from this union came his daughter Normica D. Miller Al-Kush. Norman remarried later in life in August of 2004 to Elizabeth Barnes Miller, with this union came three daughters, Shawana Barnes, Simona Barnes and Daina Downs.

As a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Norman’s memories are left to be cherished by all who loved and knew him. His mother Mamie Lee Harris (Union City, GA), his wife, Elizabeth Barnes Miller (Cleveland OH); his daughters Normica Miller Al-Kush, Shawana Barnes and Simona Barnes (Brooklyn NY) and Daina Downs (Cleveland, OH). Grandchildren, Makayla Miller, Iunmutef Al-Kush, George Worth II. (all of Union City, GA), Jacinth Smith, Jasmine Smith, Jayvon Smith, Reginara McFadden, Kewon Williams (all of Brooklyn NY). Siblings, Eva N. Miller (Union City, GA), Demetrius (Rejane) Miller (Houston, TX), Johnny Harris (Aliceville, Al), Timmy (Katrina) Harris (Tuscaloosa, Al), Kimmie Harris (Union City, GA). One Aunt, Minnie Cherry of Cleveland, OH. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Norman was predeceased by his brother John Wesley Harris III.
