Norma's obituary
Norma Young passed away on February 9th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in Daytona Beach, FL. Born on July 26, 1946, in Memphis, TN, Norma lived a life filled with love, kindness, and grace.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Young; her children, Julie Camputaro (Phillip), Laura Quinones (Mark), and David Young (Tricia); her step-son, Richard Elliott (Stephanie); and her cherished grandchildren, Michael Ryan Hayman, Hunter Hayman, Miles S. Camputaro, Hannah Ross, Zoe Elliott, Mia Elliott, and Tiffany Camputaro.
Norma attended the University of Florida and was a proud Gator fan. In 1978, she moved to Ormond Beach, where she worked in administrative support roles at Hawaiian Tropic and Ormond Re Group before retiring.
Above all, Norma’s greatest joy was her family. She found happiness in hosting gatherings, especially during the holidays, filling her home with love, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals. She was known for making everyone feel special, always ensuring their favorite desserts were on the table. A true Southern lady, she was kind, loving, and full of grace.
Norma also had a deep love for her loyal Corgis, Susie and Daisy, who were her constant companions.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her warmth, generosity, and spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
We will be celebrating the life of Norma at the Young Family Cabin in the Ocala National Forest.
