Norma's obituary
Norma Jean Miller, 78, of Norwalk passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2025, at Bellevue Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 9th, 1947, in Bridgeport, Alabama to Jake and Margaret (Steele) Allison. The family eventually migrated and settled in Elyria, Ohio.
She married her beloved James on August 1st, 1964, and together they built a family and were devoted to one another for 55 years until his passing in 2019.
She enjoyed reading, baking, listening to music, playing cards, and watching romantic movies.
She is survived by her three children, Tammy Harkness of Norwalk, Jennifer Green of New London and Matthew (Jill) Miller of Fremont. Grandchildren, Allison Conaway of NC, Anelise (Miles) Mull of Willard, Elizabeth Dysard of Toledo, Ashley (Jeremy) Bell of Akron, and Cassilyn (Joshua) Schnell of NC. Great Grandchildren, Olliver, Tristan, Chaz, Jamie, Gaige, Aiden, Audri, Rylee, Kinley, Nolan, Niko and Koda. Siblings, James Allison of Lorain, Sheila (Rick) Santo of Elyria, Russell (Debra) Gallaher of California and Rose Gallager of Alabama, and her friend, Terry (Shannon) Harvey of Norwalk.
She was proceeded in death by her husband James, parents, Jake Allison and Margaret Gallaher, stepfather, Homer Gallaher, brother, Steve Allison, sister-in-law, Linda Allison and son-in-law, Ronald Green.
In keeping with Norma’s wishes no public services will be held.
