Norma Jean Manzanares, Jeannie, 70, passed away on Friday, September 3rd in Denver, Colorado. She lives on through the memories of her children, Cicely, Joe, and Jennifer, and their partners Shawn, Brandy, and Tony, and her grandchildren Joey, Mia, Nick, and Jason, and her siblings Pat, Anna, Joe, Kenny, Edna, and Lupe, and their families, including all who had the pleasure of knowing her from New Mexico, Colorado, Maryland and beyond. Words can not begin to convey the honor that Jeannie deserves.  Through our kindness to ourselves, to others, and to all things in our universe - especially when kindness is not the default feeling - we honor Jeannie and her legacy. Jeannie was a born naturalist and gave thanks often through the beautiful drawings and paintings that she created and the pictures that she took capturing the grandeur of the mountains, hills and bluffs to the humble intricacies of insects, flowers, ears and toes. Her love was sincere, deep, plentiful and expressive and will be deeply missed like her voice when she is calling you by your Jeannie given name.
