Norma's obituary

Norma Lund, 74, of Lakeville, MN, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2022. Norma was born on December 21, 1947 to Max and Oradell Kipfmueller in Michigan. Norma was passionate about teaching and loved what she did for a living. She retired in 2001 after 31 years of teaching in Minneapolis. While retired, Norma had time to pursue many various things. She worked at the Lakeville Target for 10 years as a hobby until she retired from there then took part in various groups such as book club, bunco, and bible studies. She also spent a year providing daycare for her grandson. Norma was predeceased by her parents, Max and Oradell Kipfmueller, her first husband, George Halvorson, her sister, Connie Hammer, and 2 nephews, Sean and Jim McNallan. She is survived by her husband Dennis Lund, her daughter, Stacy Messer (Jeff Messer), her sister, Betty McNallan (John McNallan), step-children, Mike Lund (Amy Cunningham) and Linda Larson (Sean Larson), as well as grandchildren, Max Messer, Althea Larson, Tommy Larson, Anna Larson, Jack Larson, nieces Brenda Ver Meer (Brad Ver Meer), Cheri Sandey (Rob Sandey), Nancy Wilhelm, Carrie Hammer, and Wendy Hammer, and brother-in-law, Alan Hammer. Services will be held at The Well Church in Rosemount, MN on Saturday March 5 at 2:00pm. A private ceremony at the cemetery to bury the ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Well, Simpsons Housing Services, or a charity of your choosing.
