Background
Norma loved animals, and in particular cats. She rescued several feral cats in our neighborhood, had them "fixed" so as not to create more wild ones. She fell in love with all of them, but adopted two that we had for many years, Ellroy and Kittiegirl.
She was particularly stressed to hear of abandoned by their owners when they could have been taken to a shelter of some kind and adopted out.
