Norine's obituary
Norine Annetta Veverka, aged 66, passed away on July 2, 2024, in Huntley, Illinois. Born on February 3, 1958, in Oceanside, California, she was a beloved figure known for her vibrant, loving personality and her role as the matriarch of her family.
Norine's life was marked by her joyous spirit and her ability to make everyone feel like family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who cherished her time with her loved ones, especially her girls, son-in-laws, grandchildren and siblings. Her home was a hub of laughter, memories, and endless love.
She is survived by her wife, Kay Veverka (nee Funk); daughters Jennifer Bedell (Wayne), Michelle Bauer (Shawn), Sabrina Veverka; step-daughter Jennifer Hunsicker; sister Dora Asmussen (Jake); brothers Henry Veverka and James Dahl (Laura); grandchildren Austin Bedell, Madison Hunsicker, Allie Bedell, Tori Hunsicker, Connor Bauer, Max Bauer, Mya Bauer; great-granddaughter Oaklee Bedell; Nieces Heather Di Bella (Chris) and Cherryse Fisher (Randy); Nephews Curt Asmussen, Cody Dahl, Jackson Veverka and Ein Veverka; and numerous Great-nieces, Great-nephews, and cousins.
Norine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jacqueline Kozloski; sister, Celia Coombs; and adopted brother, Gordon Mounce.
A faithful member of the Missouri Senate Lutheran Church, her commitment to her faith was evident in her everyday actions and how she treated others.
A celebration of Norine’s life will be held at her home, 25 Willey st, Gilberts, IL 60136, on Saturday, July 13th, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The open house will be a time for friends and family to gather and remember the joy and love she brought into their lives.
