How I met Norelle? About 10 years ago…At a health class given by our friend Sushama at College of Marin…Norelle entered energetically…while saying: “I just finished this really interesting book!” I asked for the name and immediately wrote it down and first thing I did back home, I ordered the book. It was: ”AIDS, Opium, Diamonds and Empire…The Deadly Virus of International Greed”, and boy oh boy was it enlightening!!

5 years later, this book ended up being the catalyst for us SF peeps/warriors…for our understanding of what was going on in the world…I talked about it as one of the most interesting books I had read, and as it happened Sushama’s daughter, Seema, suggested it as a first book to read in our newly created Book Club…finally, we all ended up on the same page…meaning that we all understood that the “virus” didn’t exist!

Not the only time Norelle was a catalyst…

I echo what Tracey so eloquently wrote about Norelle on this page..Norelle was sooo many things…such a powerful force for good, for friendship, for FUN, a LOT of fun, and for LOVE and GOD above all, AND for enlightening the world.

She had soooooo much she wanted to teach the world…so much to do, so little time…maybe that is why she was always moving fast, talking fast… wherever she went, stores, restaurants, parks…she made new friends, just by telling them more about the world we live in…and most wanted to know more…

And, she always did everything…for everyone…always helping…while the rest of us stood there thinking, that maybe we should help, Norelle had already done it!

The last books she recommended was about NDEs, (something she had studied for years already) and I am glad I finally read them, so we could talk about this in light of what was coming, is coming to us all… They all described, if they could describe it at all, how they were embraced by unconditional LOVE, a feeling impossible to set words to. It was very comforting and I believe Norelle is now set free while at the same time being embraced by GOD’s LOVE.

I miss you Norelle….I find myself scrolling on Instagram wondering who I could send the latest crazy meme or story to….but nope, there is no one else….

In your honor, Norelle, I will enjoy life to its fullest..and I hope you all will do the same….that’s what Norelle wants us to do!

In response to "What did Norelle love to do?"
The last time I saw Elle she was in her hospice bed that had arrived the night before.  She was uncomfortable and in pain. And didn't have much energy to move, speak but had a bit of juice to smile and when I showed her the orange roses she mouthed softly "favorite flowers". She had asked me to bring them on Sunday, but they were out of them at the store.  She looked pale and was exhausted. Gloria told me that she wanted eye makeup on, and made sure to do it the way she wanted. Always classy, bad-ass and sassy.  She spoke in short phrases, like water, bucket, and a smile.  Lotta was there as well. Gregorian chants were playing in the living room - very loud and uplifting in a bit of a chilling way. in her spare rooms were all kind of book about natural healing - mind over matter healing, etc. Many beautiful photos of her sons and grandchildren were on the walls, and beautiful photos of Elle - the ultimate beauty.  Lotta, Philip and I wanted to be with her on Friday but her boys arrived and she didn't want visitors other than her family that day.  The last time I saw her out was at Philip's wedding. Lotta picked her up and drove her here. When she was leaving she said "This is my laslt hurrah Marcia."  she just couldn't manage the pain or the pain medications. Lotta took her to see our friend Dr. Gabrielle Lecompte MD, LAc, and frequency  energy practitioners. She had a biosensor session the first week of July and Lotta said she was free of pain and very relaxed so they scheduled another one.  The day after her first session I met Jerrigrace Lyons, dying and death doula, at Elle's. Elle requested that I help her find a death doula a few weeks before.  More about this at the next installment. Stay tuned. xox
