Norbert's obituary

Norbert Anthony Schlidt, 83, passed away surrounded by family on July 27, 2024.

He was born on July 27, 1941, in Milwaukee, to Josephine and Adam Schlidt. He married the love of his life, Roberta, on August 4, 1963. He graduated from Marquette University in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1973. Norbert and Roberta bought their home in Brookfield in 1977, which is where they raised their two children, Laura and Michael. Norbert was a very proud Harley-Davidson HOG Chapter Road Captain and owner of an NAS accounting firm, both for many years.

Norbert was very intelligent, outgoing, and loving. He enjoyed telling stories and recounting memories, sports, and riding his motorcycle. He would probably say his fondest memories are those of his late wife and all their travels, as those are the ones he told stories of the most. He loved family and it always showed.

He is survived by his youngest brother, Rick (Nina); two children, Laura and Michael; four grandchildren, Jared, Brett, Garrett, and Gavin; and many more.

Family, friends, and others are invited to join in the celebration of Norbert’s life at St Joseph Catholic Church, 12130 W Center St, Wauwatosa on August 16, 2024. Visitation will start at 11:00 AM and there will be a service at 1:00 PM.
