Nora's obituary
Nora Lynn Capuano McKenna Boutwell, 76, of League City, TX, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024, at Texas Presbyterian Health Hospital, in Flower Mound, TX surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with COPD.
Nora was born on February 26, 1948, in Galveston, TX to Ada Elizabeth Macaluso Capuano and Joe Capuano. She graduated from Ball High School in 1966 and went on to work in the hospitality industry. She was an administrative assistant for many years until she landed back in hotels, ultimately retiring as a catering sales manager. Nora was a beloved mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt, cousin and friend to so many. Known for her contagious laugh and warm smile, Nora loved music, dancing with her granddaughters and watching true crime television or Seinfeld late into the evenings.
She is survived by her children Melissa McKenna Malone (husband, James “Jimmy” Malone), Daniel Shane Boutwell, her grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth McKenna Nolte (husband, Nick) and McKenna Jo Malone and her siblings, Joseph Frank Capuano (wife, Ilona), her niece and goddaughter, Nicole Capuano Pippin (husband, Mark) and nephew, Christopher “Chris” Capuano (wife, Amber) and many great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Thomas “Tommy” John McKenna, III.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, June 29th at Esteban’s Café & Cantina (Fiesta Shack – located in the back drive) in League City, TX from 11am – 3pm. As we remember Nora and celebrate her zest for life, please bring some favorite photos and share treasured memories of how you knew Nora.
