Nora's obituary

NORA ANTONELLI
A LIFE TO REMEMBER

Nora Antonelli, 96, transitioned to her Heavenly Father peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Nora was the second born to Ynez and Rose Lopez on October 19, 1924. Nora was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Kirkjian, Wilfred Lopez and Charles Lopez.

Nora was A devout Catholic and longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Young Ladies Institute (YLI) and loved all the socializing. Nora was an avid swimmer until the summer of 2019. Nora loved to go bowling and joined a league that took yearly cruises traveling all over the world. Nora always wanted a large family and God granted her wish with eight, Fred Aranda, Alana Camargo (Memie), Dee Dee Pastran (Edgar), Nancy Ross (Siebert), Cynthia Kearney (Jim), Anthony Aranda (Carol), Nora Galarce (Ray) and Kathy Buckley.

Nora loved to have family get togethers, she constantly told her children, “Friends will come and go, but your brothers and sisters are your friends forever.” These words of wisdom were passed down to her four generations, 24 Grand Children, 48 Great-Grand Children and 22 Great-Great Grand Children.

Nora always tried to teach her family her strong faith, warm caring ways, her love of gardening, encouraging everyone to swim, go camping, dancing, plant fruit trees, play games, golf and enjoy life to the fullest. Nora loved to go out with her family dining and dancing, and on more than one occasion became the bell of the ball!

Nora’s long life was tremendously well-lived and worthy of celebration, now and always. We will miss her dearly and are so thankful for the love, laughter, and light she brought into this world.
