Nita's obituary
Nita leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Survived by her beloved son Alex, and her cherished daughters Leona, Cara, and Gracie, Nita remains a shining beacon in their lives. Her love further extends to her two adored granddaughters, Sophia and Alana. She couldn't wait to meet her newest grandchild, due in June. Nita also leaves behind her supportive sister, Dendy Smith, and their mother Nancy Murphy.
Predeceased by her spouse, Allen Hudgins, her nephew Austin Smith, and her niece Mindy Smith, Nita is welcomed in the hereafter by these loved ones.
Those who knew Nita were fortunate to have experienced her effervescent personality. She was best described as mischievous; her antics often leading to bouts of laughter amongst friends and family. Her warm spirit and loving nature made her a beacon of comfort and strength to those around her. She was a dedicated mother and one of her greatest accomplishments was raising her four wonderful children.
Nita was an avid supporter of the Carolina Panthers and loved the color blue, reflective of her profound spirit.
She was a voracious reader, often escaping in the realms created by Nora Roberts, James Patterson, and Nicholas Sparks. Nita had a penchant for Disney movies and the tranquility of the beach, which was her favorite vacation spot.
A Celebration of Life for Nita Hudgins will be held on March 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Lakeview Nature Center. As we gather to remember her remarkable life, may we hold her memory dear and let her spirit guide us towards living lives, filled with warmth, love, and a little bit of mischief.
