Nina's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nina Foland, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, who was ushered into eternal rest on January 20, 2024. Nina was born on January 12, 1953, and lived a life characterized by devotion, insight, and beauty. Her humility and unwavering devotion to God was the strongest lesson she imparted to those around her.

Nina was the beloved mother of four daughters and one son: Wanda Williams, Stephanie Michelle Williams,  David Filbrun, Jennifer Filbrun and Ashley Teague (Bryson Teague).  She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren: Heather Williams, Jesse Williams, Haley Farmer, Chevan Crum, Kasiyah Teague, Keyan Teague, and Kohlson Teague, as well as five great grandchildren (Amiah, Aniah, T.J., Tristen and Makiis) who will lovingly remember their grandmother's warmth and wisdom. She was also survived by her brother Bill Malone (Ruth Malone), and sister Betty Schwartz, several nieces, nephews cousins, in-laws and friends.

She is proceeded in death by Wanda Williams (daughter), Dean Malone (mom), Art Malone (dad), Evie Malone Gregg (sister), Deloris Sexton (sister), John Malone (brother), Windell Malone (brother) and ex-husband/ friend Eric Foland.

One of Nina's favorite hobbies was reading the Bible, a pastime that fueled her deeply spiritual and caring nature. Her life depicted a love for others that mirrored the Biblical teachings she so regularly absorbed. Blue, a color often associated with tranquility and depth, was her favorite, reflecting the depth of her character.

Services will be held at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services on Monday January 29th. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm and the Service will begin at 1pm. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathies may consider donating to Nina's funeral expenses. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. (https://everloved.com/life-of…)

As we mourn the loss of Nina, her legacy of humility and devotion remains as an inspiring beacon for us all. Her radiant personality and her love for her family will forever be embedded in our hearts. Although her physical presence will be missed tremendously, Nina's spirit will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
