Niem's obituary
Mr. Niem James "Man Man" Fields, age 44, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on May 30, 1981, in Washington, District of Columbia, Niem was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.
Niem dedicated 18 years to his career as a forklift operator at Adam’s and Burch. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he earned the respect of his colleagues and made meaningful contributions to the workplace. Outside of work, Niem enjoyed sports betting and was an avid fan of football and basketball. These hobbies brought him joy and connected him with others who shared his enthusiasm for the games.
He is survived by his daughter Aaliyah Fields. His siblings Niema Fields, Renae Fields-Davis, Yasmin Noel, Anthony Fields, and Khaliq Haniff; his aunts Dorthy Stanley and Shirley Manley; his uncles Roosevelt Fields and Russell Fields; as well as a host of cousins who will cherish their memories of him. He was predeceased by his parents, Sadie Bell Fields and Nasser Omar.
Niem was known for his genuine heart and generosity. Always willing to give what he had to help others, he left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. His honesty, respectfulness, and warmth will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hickory Run Baptist Church, located at 225 Rawlings Road.
