I’m sorry to learn of the passing of Mr Varnava. Sophie was my best friend growing up, and the Varnavas were my neighbors in Oxnard. Mr Varnava was kind and reserved, and always took the opportunity for a teaching moment.  He took Sophie and I to the Greek Theater in LA when we were teenagers, and included me when the family went to Universal Studios to see the new Jaws exhibit. I’m so glad he reached such a ripe old age and was healthy for so long. What a fortunate and blessed life he had.
