Nicki's obituary
Nicoli Blanche Moore, 68, died at her home in Plano, Texas, on December 20, 2023 due to complications from heart surgery. She was born in Dallas, Texas in January 1955, the third daughter to Billie Eloyce Bush and Clarence Milton Moore. Nicki was the third of six children; five daughters and one son.
Nicki worked at FedEx for almost 36 years. She started as a delivery driver and ended her career as a Senior Customer Service Agent helping the public with their letters and packages. During her years at FedEx Nicki developed many friendships that still live on today – both in front of and behind the counter. Some of her friends have remarked that it would have been hard NOT to love Nicki.
She had a gentle heart, a generous spirit and a playful sense of humor. Nicki loved to travel and would look forward to finding zip-lines and wildlife parks wherever she went. She loved animals, from whales to sugar gliders to all kinds of monkeys, but most dear to her heart was her precious 11 year old Chihuahua, Annie Mae.
No one could have asked for a better sister, daughter or friend. She will be missed every day. Her memory will surely live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Nicki’s family would like to thank everyone for the love and support shown to Nicki and to them during her final weeks of life.
Nicki was preceded in death by her father Milton Moore, grandfathers Oland Bush and Clarence Moore, Grandmother Annie Bush, Uncle Leon Bush, Aunts Elsie Idecker, Wyona Burris, Leona Rickman, Reba Robison, Nelda Mullins and Beth Bush, brother-in-law Thurman Shumate and her beloved sister Gayla Rae Moore.
Nicki is survived by her mother Billie Morris, Aunt Glynita Lacey, brother Steve Moore, sisters Sheryl Ingram, Penny Shumate and Melody McClane, half-siblings Mickie Jordan and Jim Garner, brother-in-law Johnny McClane, sister-in-law Trena Moore, nephews T.J. Hiesler, Nicholas Moore, Phillip Mann, and Dameon Harrison, nieces Toni Hiesler, Stephanie Dawson, Amanda Price, Stacy Hebert, Dani McDuffie and Shannon Allen. Nicki was also blessed by the many cousins, second cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces that were a loving part of her life.
A Memorial service will be held for Nicki Moore at 10:00am on Saturday, January 13, 2023 at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074. It was Nicki’s wish that you please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers. https://www.stjude.org/
