Background
Nicolette (Nikki)'s death was very unexpected, she died far too young, and unfortunately there were no savings or insurance to pay for her funeral . Anything donated will be used to offset the cremation and celebration of life costs.
In Nikki's (Muriel's) words, she just wanted all her family and friends, nearest and dearest to come together, celebrate her life and have a good party in her honour :) So the money will go toward the food & drink, the plaque costs, the cost we paid and is outstanding to funeral directors, and any musicians we are able to hire for the event.
We will be planting a tree, and a plaque in the Royal Victoria Country Park, and throwing a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate her.
Any donations beyond our goal will be used towards the Nicolette Muriel Miriam Davis Foundation her daughter is setting up in her honour, to provide music scholarships to children from under-priveliged backgrounds, as well as to provide classical musicians to play in hospital wards for cancer patients.
